Glenturret began working in 1775 as the Hosh Distillery, but sources prove that whiskey was produced on the property 60 years earlier.

By present standards, it is an unusual distillery, probably the only one where the mash is constantly mixed with a wooden oar.  Currently, Glenturret produces 170 thousand.  liters of alcohol per year, using its potential in 50%.  The local whiskey is one of the main ingredients of the Famous Grouse blend and its single malt supply remains minimal.  Scotia Royale's proposal is a 34-year-old whiskey distilled in 1977, the contents of a single barrel poured in the cask strength version (48.4% abv).  Its contents translated into only 245 bottles.  Scotia Royale is a secret whiskey series from the Loch Lomond Group portfolio.

Aroma：
Adusty antique shop with books, wax, honey, vanilla, banana plantain, oranges, pineapples, a bit of hay and polished oak.

Palate：
Rich, vanilla pudding, peanuts roasted in honey, oranges, apricots, buttered toast, white pepper, candied ginger, hints of anise and oak.

Finish：
Quite long, fruity and bitter at the same time, toffee, honey, bitter orange jam, grapefruit and oak.
