Clynelish 16-Year-Old is the second release from the ‘Four Corners of Scotland Collection’. This limited-edition series of Single Malts commemorates the transformation of the brand homes of Glenkinchie, Cardhu, Caol Ila, and Clynelish. The four distilleries represent the four corners of Scotland.
TASTING NOTE
NOSE
A rich, smooth yet understated malt with quiet authority, this waxy Clynelish from selected American Oak hogsheads has a mild nose with waxy top notes of a well-rubbed waxed cotton jacket and a trace of snuffed candle in the development, on a moorland base.
PALATE
The texture is silky-smooth, and the taste is sweet, its honeyed richness balanced by a delicious tropical fruit acidity.
FINISH
Some gingery warmth lingers in the medium length, lightly drying finish.
